Didyma



Didyma, known as Didim today, is located in west coast of Turkey. It is famuous for its sanctuary and Apollon Temple.



Didyma was center of "oracle" in ancient world. It was made by Miletus'. During the ancient times there was a competition between Miletus and and Ephesus.


As a response to Artemis Temple in Ephesus, Miletus' made well-known Apollon Temple. In Greek didyma means "twin". And these twins were Apollon and Artemis.
